ATICO Fakhreldin Group Contributes Part of Ramadan Sales to SOS Children's Villages Association

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 15, 2009 -- ATICO Fakhreldin Group has donated 10% of The Courtyard sales during the holy month of Ramadan 2009 to SOS Children's Villages Association of Jordan.
The payment was made in a special ceremony held recently at the main office of ATICO Fakhreldin Group in Amman, and attended by ATICO Fakhreldin Group's Director of Corporate, Communication and CSR, Ms. Abeer Fakhriddin, the Group's Financial Manager, Mr. Imad Petro, and National Director of SOS Children's Villages Association of Jordan, Ms. Lina Mola.

Being an integral part of its Jordanian community, ATICO Fakhreldin Group incessantly supports the humane initiatives launched by the local and international organizations, aiming at providing help and sustaining relief for children in Jordan.
Ms. Abeer Fakhriddin indicated that ATICO Fakhreldin Group is keen to give more momentum for the constructive initiatives that contribute to the healthy development of children, notably these applied by the SOS villages, primarily committed to providing the disadvantaged children with better future.
"Philanthropy has clearly made an important imprint on the Jordanian community, complementing the intrinsic activity of governmental and private institutions, and filling in the gaps where other forms of funding are unavailable," she added.

On her part, Ms. Lina Mola expressed her deep gratitude and appreciation for "the benevolent initiative and gesture on the part of ATICO Fakhreldin Group to support the SOS Children's Villages in Jordan," noting that the Group has unequivocally met its obligation towards the misfortunate children in these villages.
Ms. Mola noted that the SOS Children's Villages Association in Jordan is a local, private, non-political, non-profit, and independent organization that needs the backing of Jordanian institutions and enterprises to enable it provide the dignified life and care for about 300 Jordanian orphaned and abandoned children, living in three villages and eight youth houses, in Amman, Aqaba and Irbid. The association was established in 1983 under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Noor Al-Hussein, the honorary president.

Over the past 16 years, ATICO Fakhreldin Group has persevered on contributing to several charitable organizations, guided by their high values of caring and sharing, and fortifying the Group's social responsibility. Such contributions targeted Tikeyat Um Ali, SOS Children's villages, and Al Hussein Center for Cancer, as well as funding the children ward in Beit Hanoun Hospital in Gaza, and providing a hospital in Nablus with medical equipment. The Group also donated to the initiatives of Jordan River Foundation, and partook in the Salt development project, in cooperation with the Municipality of Salt, among many other projects.
