These products include four Interface Converters:
1) Model 4127 HP Fiber to RS485 Converter with a DB15 connector.
2) Model 4129 HP Fiber to RS485 Converter with an RJ45 connector.
3) Model 4137 HP Fiber to RS232 Converter with an RJ45 connector.
4) Model 4139 HP Fiber to RS232 Converter with a DB9 connector.

These HP Fiber to copper converters are used to connect fiber optic linked VLT (Video Lottery Terminals) to a controller having an RS232 or RS485 interface port. Conversion to a fiber optic comminication standard is advantageous because it allows data transmission that is free from electrostatic and electromagnetic fields. Additionally, the ports of the connected terminals are protected from damage by potential differences (ground variations) that often exist between them.

Also included in this family of products designed for Casino IT Managers is the Model 4154 HP Fiber Repeater with RS-232 Traffic Monitor Port. This product is RoHS compliant. The Model 4154 is used to regenerate data signals in order to extend the range between optically linked data terminals. The Model 4154 also has the capability to monitor network traffic via an RS232 Monitor Port. This fiber optic communication standard allows data transmission that is free from electrostatic and electromagnetic fields. The RS-232 monitor port is protected from damage by potential differences (ground variations) that often exist between them.

Completing the family of products designed for Casino Network Managers are VersaLink Plastic Optical Fiber (POF) Patch Cords. VersaLink Plastic Optical Fiber Patch Cords feature the Versatile Link (VersaLink) connectors that provide ready made solutions for rapid installations for any Video Lottery Terminal Networks utilizing the Avago Technologies Versatile Link transceivers. Cables are available in stnadard and custom lengths.
