Buena Park, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) October 3, 2011 -- BUENA PARK, CA (Monday, October 3, 2011)- ATTIC, an urban lifestyle boutique, and BEHIND THE HUSTLE, a career development project designed and created by Creative Contraband, present “BUILDING AN INDUSTRY,” a resume workshop and career panel with opportunities for internships will feature Streetwear brands that have continued to reflect great influence on today’s clothing and street wear industry: CROOKS AND CASTLES (http://crooksncastles.com/), DIAMOND SUPPLY CO. (http://diamondsupplyco.com/) and BLACK SCALE (http://black-scale.com/).

The event will be held at ATTIC BUENA PARK on Saturday, October 8, 2011. Doors open at 3:30pm, with resume workshops beginning at 4pm. Time slots reserved for individual resume critiques and internship opportunities will be given to those who have RSVPed on a first come, first serve basis. The career panel will begin at 5pm followed by a meet and greet with the panelists.

“The concept of BEHIND THE HUSTLE is to show cool people with cool jobs. There are so many young adults that are having trouble finding a career because they want to follow their passion and not go the traditional job route without disappointing their parents,” remarks Don Kang, Content Manager for BEHIND THE HUSTLE. “We want to help give them a way to be successful while doing what they love by showing them others who have accomplished this and providing the right tools to succeed.”

“The irony about Streetwear is that it seems like things are done at a grassroots level, but it’s a lifestyle and a business. Streetwear is not going to survive if these kids stay unpolished. When they are well-oiled and on point like Crooks and Castles, that's the only way that things are going to move,” adds Nicholas You, Marketing Manager of ATTIC, who suggested adding resume workshops for the very first time. “With this, we’re providing the means for these kids to give them insight, helping them make something out of nothing.”

There will also be giveaways throughout the event provided by SKUNK JUICE, PROOF, and merchandise from CROOKS AND CASTLES, DIAMOND SUPPLY CO. and BLACK SCALE. Plus, THE LIME TRUCK, winner of The Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race” Season 2, will vend food to the guests and public, while DJ WREX from ACRYLICK djs the event.
