Attorney Arthur Stewart joins Cantey Hanger

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 24, 2011 -- Arthur A. Stewart, an attorney whose practice area focuses on bankruptcy and financial workouts involving technology contracts, has joined Cantey Hanger LLP as a Partner, Managing Partner Pollard Rogers announced.

Stewart spent seven years during the ’90s on the in-house legal staff of a large computer services company. He has extensive experience with financial workouts of technology contracts and frequently advises on the front end of such contracts, providing clients a clear and concise understanding of the insolvency-related risks. Since that time, he has worked for several large law firms handling all types of bankruptcy and insolvency-related matters.

He has represented individuals and businesses in bankruptcy matters on the debtor and creditor side and has experience in assets sales and bankruptcy litigation issues.

“I am particularly grateful to be working again with my former colleague, Bruce Akerly,” Stewart said. “The two of us combined have an extraordinary amount of bankruptcy courtroom experience.”

Stewart received his B.A. with Honors from The University of Texas in 1980 and graduated from the University of Houston Law School in 1983. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1983.

He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Section and is admitted to practice before all Federal Circuits in Texas and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
