Sheriff Brad Steube discussed pending issues in the sheriff's office and invited input from the advisory board members. An opportunity to advise the board of new programs the sheriff has instituted.

Sheriff Brad Steube discussed the pending issues in the sheriff's office and invited input from the advisory board members. It was also an opportunity to advise the board of the new programs the sheriff has instituted. A presentation by the Commander of the Swat Unit was informative. The sheriff was proud of the fact that crime statistics for Manatee County Sheriff's office shows crime is down.

Bernie Walsh had this to say about the meeting, œAs an attorney who spends a lot of time helping Floridians with serious injuries on a daily basis, it's important to stay current and in touch with area law enforcement. The men and women of the Manatee County Sheriff's office are responsible not only for the safety of our citizens, but for implementing any new laws passed by our legislators. A good working relationship with our law enforcement members is essential in maintaining an awareness of procedures and logistics involved with with serious accidents. Especially when serious injuries or deaths have occurred. Being aware of law enforcements procedures helps me as an attorney better represent my clients during a trial.
