Auditor Kovack Named President of State Organization

Medina, Ohio, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) February 22, 2011 -- Medina County Auditor Michael Kovack was installed as President of the County Auditors'
Association of Ohio (CAAO) for 2011 during a recent meeting of the CAAO Executive and
Legislative Committees. Also installed was CAAO Secretary/Treasurer Washington County
Auditor Bill McFarland. The Honorable William Batchelder, Speaker of the Ohio House of
Representatives, installed Mr. Kovack and Mr. McFarland during a brief ceremony on
Wednesday, February 9th at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Columbus.

The CAAO includes all 88 Ohio County Auditors. It was established to promote and protect the
interests of the taxpayers of Ohio and to improve the administration of county government.
Among other activities, the association works with the Ohio General Assembly to offer
legislative initiatives that assist County Auditors in carrying out their duties.
Mr. Kovack acknowledged the contributions of retiring President Stark County Auditor Kim
, 'Perez and retiring Secretary/Treasurer Madison County Auditor Jim Williamson. As President,
Mr. Kovack will lead the CAAO in the process of interpreting changes in the state's biennial

budget, examining government reform measures, reviewing changes in a variety of taxation
issues, and addressing the general condition of Ohio's economic climate and unemployment. He
is looking forward to a productive and exciting year.
Mr. Kovack previously served as President of the Northeast District of County Auditors and as a
member of the CAAO Executive and Legislative Committees.
