We missed sending out our June and July newsletters, because we have been on the go! We started the month of June by flying to Seattle, WA to visit Beverly’s cousins for a lovely dinner party given by Cousin Suzanne. Thanks, Suzanne!

Summer Greetings to all of our Supporters, Prayer Partners, and Friends!
We missed sending out our June and July newsletters, because we have been on the go! We started the month of June by flying to Seattle, WA to visit Beverly’s cousins for a lovely dinner party given by Cousin Suzanne. Thanks, Suzanne! The next day we boarded a cruise ship for a cruise through the inside passage to Alaska. Beverly’s mom blessed her children by paying for the entire trip, to help her celebrate her 90th birthday! It was a one-week cruise and all six of us had a great time together, exploring God’s beautiful country. Mom even got invited up to the bridge to meet the Captain and was presented with 12 long-stemmed roses on her birthday!
From there we headed to the Youth with a Mission (YWAM) base in Lakeside, Montana for a few days, to seek God as to our next steps. After that, we “had” planned on going back to NC, but something made us change our plans. Now we know that it was the LORD directing us back to Oceanside, CA where we found Beverly’s mother to be very ill. After a brief stay in the hospital, she has slowly regained some of her health. If we had not been here, she would have had to go into a nursing home. Our church family at Good News Community Church is supportive of our effort to help her, for which we are grateful. Don was able to return to NC, and spend some time working on a few projects with Pastor Jim at GNCC.
At the present time, we believe that the LORD is directing us to serve Him with Good News Community Church as missionaries, and with Mission Builders International (MBI). Again, let us say that this is not a salary position, so we are continuing to raise support… We are now at 88% of what we need each month. Thanks be to God! As always, we would appreciate your prayers.
