Internationally published Author and Fine Art Photographer, Anthony M. Davis is partnering with Fisher House to help veterans and their families. Davis who authored the bestselling book, “Terrorism and the Maritime Transportation System” is donating 50 percent of all profits from his book to Fisher House.
The book, “Terrorism and the Maritime Transportation System” was initially written as a resource for law enforcement and security professionals as an information resource. Because of Davis’ easy writing style, the book has become popular to readers of all walks of life. As one reviewer states:
“After reading Terrorism and the Maritime Transportation System, I have a new found respect for those in the field and I'm thankful that Mr. Davis has put this book together to educate the public without making the content dull or boring. I found it difficult to put this book down as I wanted to keep learning more through every turn of the page. “
The book is through Amazon or signed copies from the author are available at the Homeland Security Group website at: http://www.homelandsecuritygroup.info
The Fisher House program is a unique private-public partnership that supports America’s military families in their time of need. The program recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and the hardships of military service by meeting a humanitarian need beyond that normally provided by the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.
Because members of the military and their families are stationed worldwide and must often travel great distances for specialized medical care, Fisher House Foundation builds and donates “comfort homes” on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times—during hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease or injury.
There is at least one Fisher House at every major military medical center to assist families in need and to ensure that they are provided with the comforts of home in a supportive environment. Annually, the Fisher House program serves more than 12,000 families, and has made available more than 3 million days of lodging to family members since the program originated in 1990.
As we enter the holiday season, remember our military who bravely serve for us. Consider buying a copy or two as a gift to help Fisher House continue their mission to support our military and their families.
