Author Scheidies Releases Devotional Book FIRST I BOW

(Free-Press-Release.com) May 18, 2010 -- FIRST I BOW is the latest release from author Carolyn R Scheidies. “FIRST I BOW,” said Scheidies, “originated from my own devotional times with God.”

She added, “After I read a scripture passage I write down what it means to me, how 'hits' me or how it is relevant to my life.”

In FIRST I BOW, Scheidies has taken her insights written as short notes, as devotions, as verse, even as commentary on personal or current world situations and used them to put together a daily devotional. Each “day” offers Scripture, insights and, often a prayer.

The back cover blurb adds this comment: Starting our day with God, starts our day centered, focused and ready to meet the challenges of our day, our lives and our future.

Scheidies said, “I didn't go from my devotional time to a book. For the last year or so, I've been using my insights on my Daily Devotional Blog http://IDealinhope.com/blog. I felt some of the devotions needed a wider audience. With that I started from the beginning to edit, format, often changing Scripture versions to make FIRST I BOW a unique devotional that encourages and challenges as it brings the reader to a place of worship and hope.
