Authors Marala Scott and Tre Parker help prevent Domestic Violence and Child Abuse

Authors Marala Scott and Tre Parker (In Our House, Perception vs. Reality) hosted a fundraising dinner to bring awareness to the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Child Abuse and help people HEAL.

(Free-Press-Release.com) August 11, 2009 -- On July 16th, at the Aladdin Shrine Center, Columbus, Ohio, 2009 National Indie Award winning authors Marala Scott and Tre Parker (In Our House, Perception vs. Reality) spoke out against Domestic Violence and Child Abuse by sharing their story that has been inspiring all who have heard it. Scott and Parker hosted the fundraising dinner to bring awareness to the prevention of Domestic Violence and Child Abuse by helping people HEAL - Help Educate & Alter Lives.

Radio host and motivational speaker Sean Anthony emceed the event and Elaine Grohman, a certified Healing Touch Practitioner and Angel Therapy Practitioner was the special guest speaker.

The authors shared their powerful story, to a capacity crowd, which has gained national attention. They also outlined the distribution of literature to universities, high schools and workplaces which provides critical information to help identify the "Indicators of an Abuser."

The conclusion to every interview with the authors is "This should be a movie!" Endorsed heavily by actor and recording artist Tyrese Gibson, "In Our House, Perception vs. Reality" is sure to make its way to the big screen. The authors travel nationwide to speak on the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Child Abuse, gaining the attention of Oprah's Angel Network and Oprah's Radio Network.
