FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) April 8, 2010 -- Autism Alert Cards are now available through iDetails.org's website. Autism affects as many as 1 out of 150 children. The iDetails Autism Alert Card provides important information to Police, Fire, TSA ( Transportation Security Administration ) and other authorities. The card is constructed of 30mm plastic and is sized to fit in a standard ID holder or wallet. The eye catching iDetails Autism Alert Card clearly informs Law Enforcement , teachers , caregivers and others of ways in which to better interact with a person with Autism in an emergency situation.

The iDetails Autism Alert Card was designed by parents of a child with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Their high functioning autistic adult child needed more freedom and they wanted to provide a quick and easy way for others to understand an explanation of the condition. Knowing that paper notes were torn or lost and memorized phrases were easily forgotten they decided to create a hard plastic printed card that would immediately and briefly inform an authority of the unique situation.
No card can prevent detention or arrest. The card is designed to supply specific information to Law Enforcement. Although some cities and municipalities are issuing official cards through local law enforcement most areas to not have this service available. The card is not authorized by any municipality or organization an does not confer any special rights or privileges.

The card is made of thick 30mm plastic. It cannot easily be ripped or torn. On the reverse side is a place for the persons name and a contact phone number. This bright and colorful card will get the attention of Security Personnel, Police and Firefighters as well as can be used in school or the workplace. The card gives 3 important statements on the front and 6 secondary suggestions on the reverse. The card clearly states " This person is covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act. You may have certain responsibilities under this act." allowing the authority figure to clearly understand the rights of the person with Autism.
