HACKENSACK, N.J., November 8, 2010 — With a new school year in full swing, Autograph Store Charity Fundraising is proud to bring North America’s school boards, parent/teacher associations, student organizations and other education-concerned groups its exclusive Fundraise for Schools Program. A host of new school auction items are expected to draw tremendous auction fundraising revenue for dozens of institutions all around North America and beyond.
This year, Autograph Store Charity Fundraising projects it will sponsor more school fundraisers than any other year in the organization’s history. In a year when unemployment is on the rise and charitable donations are on the decline, local education institutions need fundraising support more than ever.
“I really love working on school fundraisers because the people involved — often parents and teachers — are so vested in their school communities,” said Anthony Nurse, charity fundraising director for Autograph Store. “In a lot of cases, the school auction ideas we deliver can mean the difference between kids getting a good education and getting into college, or getting a poor education and ending up flipping burgers. So many schools desperately need these dollars, and we’re so happy we have the resources to help.”
Mainstays of Autograph Store Charity Fundraising’s Fundraise for Schools Program include charity auction items, like autographed guitars and photos from Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and The Jonas Brothers, as well as once-in-a-lifetime experiences, like trips to Disney World and NASCAR events. New for this school year are photos signed by pop music sensation Justin Bieber, and teen movie icons Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson from the “Twilight” film series. With this new crop of school auction items available for the 2010-2011 school year, Autograph Store Charity Fundraising is confident its sponsorship efforts will make a significant difference for countless students.
“We can never know exactly how many kids’ lives are made better by the work we do, but we can tell from our post-event conversations with organizers just how critical our work is,” Nurse said. “I think a lot of school fundraisers we work on, whether they’re silent auctions or live, see huge revenue increases from the auction items we provide. We take a lot of care in working with organizers to pick the perfect fundraising items, and we’ve got auction fundraising down to a science.”
Autograph Store Charity Fundraising is looking forward to another successful year working with hundreds of institutions around the world. The organization is continuing to develop exciting, new school auction ideas to improve the quality of many students’ educations for years to come.
