Avazoo to Appoint International Licensed Agents for the World’s First Billion Dollar Raffle

Avazoo’s Billion Dollar Raffle was designed by a group of socially-conscious entrepreneurs specifically as a vehicle to raise significant amounts of funding for global charitable causes. Avazoo firmly believes the Billion Dollar Raffle will capture the imagination of millions of people around the world and has the potential to become the most successful philanthropic event in history, with 40% of the net revenue going to projects that support the United Nations Millennium Development Goals and other charitable causes. This will include charities designed to help disadvantaged children, end child mortality, eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, achieve universal primary education and ensure environmental sustainability as well as other causes.

Depending on the individual jurisdiction, Avazoo’s international license program will allow consumers in certain territories to purchase tickets for the Billion Dollar Raffle through licensed gaming entities such as casinos or even from retail locations in the same way as they would currently purchase a lottery ticket. This makes it possible for people to participate in the world’s largest prize draw that otherwise wouldn’t buy a ticket through the internet or may not be allowed to.

Avazoo is to appoint a limited number of international Master Licensees to have exclusive rights for the physical sale of tickets in their country for the worldwide Billion Dollar Raffle. The Master Licensee will have the rights to appoint Sub-Licensees to build the distribution network within their territory and to directly benefit from every ticket that is sold with an additional bonus if the winning ticket is sold in their designated area. In addition to receiving a share of Avazoo’s profits, Licensees will benefit from tickets sold on-line in their country where it is legal to do so. The company said that master licenses will only be issued to well-qualified and suitable organizations and the cost of the license varies based on the population and demographics of the territory.
Avazoo has already signed a Master Licensee in the United States who is in negotiations with certain Native American Indian tribes to sell raffle tickets through their casinos. This is particularly significant because gambling via the internet is not allowed in America despite a recent Department of Justice announcement that the legislation prohibiting it only applies to sports betting.
