Dr. Norman Meier has taken on the role of President and CEO for Aviara Mining, Inc. Below is a write up about Dr. Meier.

Dr. Norman Meier has more than ten years of experience in gold exploration companies. He has held several positions as a board member for public and private gold companies in the US and Canada.

His experience and knowledge about gold exploration and the financial industry make him an expert in this field. He has raised over $400 million from private investors and $600 million from institutional investors over the last 16 years and particularly $35 million for one single gold project alone.

He was the CEO of Hemis Corporation which became, at one point, a company with over $300 million in market capitalization.

While Dr. Meier was a director of Windfire Capital shares went from $0.10 to $0.50 per share. Dr. Meier is no longer associated with Windfire so that he could solely focus on Aviara Mining, Inc.

Dr. Meier's network to other gold companies, geologists, industry professionals and financial institutions is extensive and international. The connections he has developed gives him the ability to review a large number of projects each week and select only projects with the most promise.

Dr. Norman Meier earned his PhD D in Human Behavior from Newport University in Switzerland. Newport University is an international University with campuses in over 37 countries.
