Award-winning author Rhiannon Frater to sign at Secret Oktober June 19th

(Free-Press-Release.com) June 8, 2010 -- In 2008, Rhiannon Frater was living the life of most beginning writers. Facing countless rejections, having fans cry out for the release of her work, not being able to find a publisher to pick it up--this, and more, were the things she faced, all on a daily basis. Then, one day, everything changed.

Late 2008, Rhiannon released the first book in her As the World Dies Trilogy, titled The First Days.

Not even two years later, TOR Books has picked up the trilogy, a producer is in talks to turn it into a TV series, and her vampire novel, Pretty When She Dies, has been optioned for film.

Few authors can imagine the innumerable success Rhiannon has had, let alone even begin to dream of having it. But if you think that's not enough, think again. Rhiannon's accolades only continue to rise. As the World Dies: The First Days was named 'one of the best zombie books of the decade' by a writer on Examiner.com and received the 2008 Dead Letter Award for best fiction novel. Following the release of The First Days, Fighting to Survive (the second book in the trilogy) won the 2009 Dead Letter Award in the same category.

On June 19th, Rhiannon Frater will be signing copies of her two vampire novels--the Victorian vampire novel The Tale of the Vampire Bride and the modern-day urban novel Pretty When She Dies —as well as her zombie trilogy at Secret Oktober, located at 1905 South Street in Austin, Texas. Be sure to look for the Secret Oktober bat out front (which looks like a bat.)
