Award Winning Filmmaker's John Wynn and Moniqua Plante to screen their Short Action/Drama at July's Action on Film Festival

While attracting filmmakers, writers, fans, and celebrities, the festival will be featuring more than 600 independent films from talented filmmakers across the world.

Written and directed by John Wynn, the short action drama "Pillow Talk," delves into the duality of sexually and emotionally charged relationships, the complex boundary between love and hate couples often face. In “Pillow Talk” a mysterious couple confronts their undeniable emotional and physical connection, but when their violent past collides with their peaceful present they come face to face with a dangerous future.

Filmmaker John Wynn wrote 'Pillow Talk' following a discussion he had with actress/producer Moniqua Plante. "Moniqua and I were tossing around ideas for a short film when she confided in me this idea of playing an action heroine who was heartbroken. We then started talking about our own past mistakes, present opportunities, and what the future might hold. That got my mind racing and later that day, I wrote 'Pillow Talk' in a mad dash of coffee, cursing, and soul searching," says Wynn.

The film is produced by lead actress Moniqua Plante of HBO/Cinemax's 'Femme Fatales,' 'Southland,' and 'Ghost Whisperer.' She says, "'Pillow Talk” was really a labor of love. It was the first time a part was written specifically for me, so it was a dream to play...especially with such a wonderful partner in crime, lead actor Adriano Aragon. The shoot was extraordinarily seamless...Considering how tough independent shoots can be, this was a piece of cake.. a really sinfully delicious piece of cake."

Wynn, who likes to test his abilities when it comes to making films on a small budget, was involved in every facet of the film's production. The one man movie making machine did it all – from writing, directing, editing, color correcting, composing, sound mixing, special effects – down to the final audience film.

"Pillow Talk" will screen at the seventh annual Action on Film Festival. With more than 600 screenings, countless dinners and red carpet events, and the renowned AOF awards show, the festival and celebration will attract thousands of talented filmmakers, celebrities, and fans alike.
