“More Than Just a Dance Team”- Dance Classes at Precision Dance Company

Lomita, CA – January 13, 2009– Long-time Southern California youth dance powerhouse, Precision Dance Company, is now holding classes for the public in their beautifully remodeled space at 25834 Narbonne Avenue in Lomita, California.

Classes are offered in beginning, intermediate, and advanced ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop dance, in lyrical, contemporary, and cardio kickboxing. Faculty includes award-winning and sought-after instructor, choreographer, private dance coach, and competition judge Felicia Vann, the Executive Director of Precision Dance Company, dance veteran of stage, film, and TV and Assistant Director of Precision Dance Company Britney Bryson-Armalin, and many more! Cost is $10 per class, with discounts and package deals available.

Precision Dance Company, which has taken first-place titles in Showstoppers, Sea World Spectacular, Claremont Classic, Best of USA, Miss Drillteam USA, West Coast Champions, and many other dance competitions, is known for a high level of artistry and a diverse range of dance styles exhibited in its highly-anticipated Annual Showcase. The Company lives the motto of “More Than Just a Dance Team” offering a family environment and a focus on individual attention and development. Precision Dance Company hopes to offer a space where dancers of all ages and levels can grow in a non-competitive, positive, but challenging environment.

Precision Dance Company was started by then 15 year-old Executive Director Felicia Vann at Crescent Heights Elementary in 1992 as an after-school program focused on positive self-esteem and self-expression. Since then, Precision has been incorporated into a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, developed a 10-person staff, and blossomed into a membership of over 40 talented young women age 5-28. With the founding of its own independently-run dance school in the South Bay area, Precision’s mission and activities will expand to include instruction in fitness and dance technique for the outside community while also serving as a venue for community events and the arts.
