Award-winning scheme gets new website to showcase work
Bolton design agency, Square Pear Design, has just completed a new website and blog for an innovative and award-winning scheme that helps vulnerable young men in Greater Manchester.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 25, 2012 --
Street Soccer Academy, based at Boundary Industrial Estate, on Millfield Road, in Bolton, helps vulnerable and ‘at risk’ young men, typically aged 18 to 30, to make positive changes in their lives through playing organised football.
The vulnerable and ‘at risk’ individuals may be leading ‘chaotic’ lifestyles including homelessness, drink, anger or other problems.

http://www.squarepeardesign.co.uk The Academy, which has six centres across Greater Manchester, provides weekly coaching sessions, supervised by FA qualified coaches, and gives regular opportunities for participants to get involved in matches and tournaments.
Participants are also mentored by a local support team, alongside professional advice from the Academy’s partner agencies.
The scheme has recently won the Barclays Premier League’s Community Award for its work.
The new website provides a detailed view of the work of the Academy and a breakdown of events and news at each of the six centres at Manchester, Salford, Stockport, Bolton, Wigan and Leigh, and Forest Bank.
The blog will showcase participants that have benefited from the scheme along with other news and information.
Andrew Thorpe, Founder and Chief Executive of the Academy, said: “We work with some of the area’s most vulnerable and ‘at risk’ individuals to help them, along with our partner agencies, get their lives back on track.
“The new website reflects much more clearly and effectively the work of the Academy, our ambitions to help vulnerable and ‘at risk’ individuals in Bolton and Greater Manchester, and to encourage more people to get involved in the scheme.”
Steve Prescott, Managing Director of Square Pear Design, said: “We believe the new website more accurately reflects the contribution the Academy is making to vulnerable peoples’ lives in Greater Manchester.
“It should help to raise awareness of this award-winning scheme and encourage more interest from all relevant parties.
“We’ve built a website that can grow as the scheme grows. We hope it helps the Academy to move forward with its valuable work.”
