FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) October 14, 2010 --

In observance of Domestic Violence Month (October) and in recognition of domestic violence survivors and thrivers, Performing Arts and Literary Society present the domestic violence awareness stage play, "A Change Is Gonna Come", winner of 4 Velocity Magazine Awards, (Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress), for one "unforgettable" evening, Saturday, October 23, 6:00 pm, at Pease Auditorium, on the main campus of Central Piedmont Community College, 1201 Elizabeth Avenue , Charlotte, North Carolina. "A Change Is Gonna Come" dispels the notion that domestic violence only happens to certain class of people, but that it could happen to anyone..anywhere, even religious couples. Witness a pastor wife's secret plight to conceal domestic and emotional abuse administered at the hands of her husband, Pastor James Sills.

Did you know that 1 in 4 Christian couples experience domestic violence and 15-19% Jewish couples? Domestic violence does not discriminate; it transcends gender, economic, age, and social barriers. The mission of "A Change Is Gonna Come" is to educate and raise awareness of the potential life-threatening affects of domestic violence, if measures are not implemented to eliminate the abnormal behavior that triggers it.
