Boise, ID, July 27, 2009 – Stevens-Henager College now offers Bachelor of Nursing program at its Boise campus to help bridge the nursing shortage in the U.S.
The course curriculum includes the Healthcare System, Case Management, Research in Nursing Practice, Patho-physiology, Professional Role Development, Theoretical Foundations of Nursing, Health Promotion and Disease, Health Assessment, Community and Family Health, Evidence Based Nursing, Nursing Management and Leadership, Sociology of Aging, Advanced Interpersonal Communications, Medical Ethics, Human Resource Management, Organization Behavior, Nursing Informatics and Psychological Aspects of Illness and Disability.
To be eligible for the Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Administration, all students need to go through a campus interview if attending the physical school while an online interview is required for online students. Students must complete the enrollment agreement and go through financial aid to declare how they are financing their education. The college also offers a variety of Student Financial Aid options to those who qualify, including their own EduLoan Program, which significantly improves the opportunities for students to afford college.
The Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Administration is also offered as a FastFlex online program where you can complete your degree in as little as twelve months. Classes start every month so there is no need to wait long for a course to begin.
All Registered Nurses (RN) can apply for the Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Aimed at meeting the many changes in the healthcare field, this program prepares you for further studies and leadership roles in the field. The training prepares students in caring for the client, family, and community using the theory and research-based knowledge imparted by the curriculum. As the nature of healthcare and healthcare roles alter over time, new recruits have to exhibit flexibility and adaptability to succeed in the competitive job markets. Keeping this in mind, the graduate is also trained to integrate care across multiple settings, managing the interactions between and among components of the integrated network of healthcare services. Students will be prepared for positions in community health clinics, private practice, hospitals, and patient care facilities.
