Bank Aid set to become unofficial Christmas Number 1 thanks to Youtube

A bunch of minor Wiltshire, UK celebrities may have created the unofficial Christmas number 1 with their smash-hit single Bank Aid - Do They Loan This Christmas.

The song - the result of living in Wiltshire, having a bit of balls, and - one suspects - a drop or two of alcohol - is designed to make people aware that - while the world is in deep recession, many are unemployed, lost in negative equity, or suffering loss of business thanks to foreclosure, the banks that got us into this mess are once again patting themselves on the back, paying select people huge bonuses, and otherwise taking public money and putting it in the wallets of the privileged few.

A spokesperson for bankripoffPR says: "Because we're busy getting on with our lives, it's easy to forget that we have spent billions and billions and billions bailing out these failed businesses, and then furthermore passed them billions more in an effort to re-stimulate the economy.

"The money they are paying themselves in bonus was once public money. We are in the deepest recession since war-time, yet these large organisations - that have become a law unto themselves - haven't learnt any lessons. They can do what they like, and we can pick up the pieces for them
