(Free-Press-Release.com) May 18, 2010 --
Bank of America recently granted $15,000 as a Chairman Circle Member to Oak Grove Center in support of the overall mission of the local non-profit. Oak Grove Center was also notified that they would be receiving an additional $2,500 from The Community Foundation. Both grants will provide resources for the at-risk youth Oak Grove Center serves. Service enhancements are made possible in part by the grant from Community Foundation serving Riverside & San Bernardino Counties supporting character building and training to assist at-risk youth with strengthening sobriety, improving self-esteem and appropriate self expression via the Drug & Alcohol Recovery Program, the Why Try Program, the Spoken Word forum and the Arts program.
Oak Grove Center offers academic instruction and 24-hour care for 76 at-risk and special needs students, 84 day students at the Murrieta campus and an additional 40 students at the campus in Perris. Chief Executive Officer Tammy Wilson responds to the generosity of Bank of America and The Community Foundation by saying, “The money received from both grants will assist us in enhancing the infrastructure, development, resources and programs we have in place for all 200 of our students. These programs will help to engage students in their recovery, growth and academic process. We could not be more thankful!”
The Community Foundation is a nonprofit, public charity created by and for the people of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. They connect donors with the causes they care about.
