Your adventure will begin the moment you get off your vehicle and walk the trail that will take you down the mountain to the river Ganges.You will immediately realize the enormity of nature's grandeur .The Great Himalayan Expedition Camp is on the other side of the Ganges and our raft will pick you from here.

It takes a few minutes and that space is full of wonder as you will make out details of our camps on the other side.You will also notice an illusion, the camps and beach are moving and so are you.Once you reach, our manager will give you directions to your camps.The camps are swiss tents, have 2 separate beds and come with good mattresses , clean bedsheets and pillows.The Great Himalayan Expedition Camp is situated at the base of mountain. A mountain trail goes at the back of camp to the beautiful village above.The washrooms are tucked behind a secluded area.

In the evenings snacks and coffee are served in the common camp , while a bonfire is arranged for the group.You can enjoy the bonfire and relax with family and friends.Dinner is served at 9 and meal was light and tasty.A walk by the river is refreshing.The waves gently lap at you feet as you walk on fine wet sand brought in by the river.If you are lucky enough to find yourself out there on a full moon night you will be amazed to see the beautiful beach , river and rocks bathing in sweet moonlight , casting shadows and making it a very magical affair.After a spell binding evening and hearty meal you will certainly relish the comfort of your tents. The morning starts with tea and biscuits. While the breakfast gets ready you can enjoy the view.Early mornings there is mist on the river and the mountain top.There is silence and joy.The bridge at the other end of the river seems like a painting full of colors.A walk by the river and the beautiful sunshine will welcome you to paradise on earth.

You can also take the trail at the back of the camp and visit the village above.The village is absolutely picturesque.The mountains nearby have steps cut on them by villagers and are used for farming.The air is clean and cool.There are fields all around and you will see villagers at work.The simplicity of their lives makes one wonder if our life with all the technology and gadgets is any better.The picture is colorful and lazy.No blaring music , no posters and no honking.You won't not even find a bicycle in the whole village.

There is a Swiss Ashram at the end of Village and a Shiv Temple.Organic farming is done in the fields around the ashram.
The breakfast is served at 9:00 am and comprises of Parathas ,Eggs, Tea , Jam and Toast. After breakfast you can start your River Rafting Adventure.The groups are sorted and the guides will give necessary information for making your rafting experience safe and exciting.You will be required to wear helmets and jackets .

You will become aware of roar of the rapid down the stream and your guide will give commands.Holding the lifeline with one hand and oar with the other you will find yourself moving steadily towards the first rapids .For safety you need to place the foot between the boat chambers. You will now experience nature first hand.

The thrill will continue rapid after rapid as you move to still waters where you may jump off the boat and swim on your own.Holding on to the rope by the side you can use your feet to pedal and keep head above water.You can also try cliff jumping from a rock face 25 feet high. Its a cool experience,Just letting go and taking the plunge without letting your mind do the calculation.

The Rafting Trip ends just 400mts short of Rishikesh and here you can spend 20 minutes drying yourselves in bright sunshine. Your Vehicle will drive you home from here.
