FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Long Island, New York, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) January 20, 2011 -- Ludwig van Beethoven’s “voice” as a composer changed radically from his early, classical style to his final years as an artist of adventurous, mystical, and romantic works. His music is paired with that of Anton Webern, who shifted from late Romanticism to his own unique, modern style.

The Jupiter String Quartet, formed in 2001, is an intimate group including violinists Nelson Lee and Megan Freivogel, violist Liz Freivogel (older sister of Meg), and cellist Daniel McDonough (husband of Meg, brother-in-law of Liz). The quartet concertizes across the United States, Canada, Europe, Mexico, and South America. They have enjoyed playing in such venues as New York’s Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, Boston’s Jordan Hall, Mexico City’s Palacio de Bellas Artes, and Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center.

Individual tickets for this event are on sale now and are only $10 to $20. For more information about The Jupiter String Quartet please visit www.jupiterquartet.com. To learn more about AU PAC’s 2010-2011 season, please visit aupac.adelphi.edu or call the AU PAC Box Office at (516) 877-4000.
