Bel Air Man Invited To Perform At Walk This Way Celebrity Charity Fashion Show

Bel Air, MD – Lifelong Harford County resident entertainer David Breth, known for his amazing and sophisticated entertainment for thinking audiences will travel to Washington, DC to be part of the second annual Walk This Way Celebrity Charity Fashion Show Tuesday September 28, 2010.

Last year’s Walk This Way was the first event of its kind in the DC area as having the first over-the-pool runway fashion show in DC! The signature event was an evening to remember as the best of DC fashion was modeled by the best in DC ...sports and brought together celebrated philanthropists, celebrities, and community members to raise awareness of domestic violence.

Matt Landsberg, founder and owner of Eric Finn, the luxury men’s clothier, agreed to showcase his collection, modeled by local professional athletes, including current and former Washington Redskins Clinton Portis, Jason Campbell, Gary Clark; and Bryan Namoff, Devon McTavish, Ben Olsen, and Santino Quaranta of DC United. NBC4 sports anchor Lindsay Czarniak was emcee to a crowd of guests that included WUSA’s Angie Goff, CBS’s Kaylee Hartung, DC Council-members Kwame Brown, Vince Gray, Michael Brown, Survivor winner Yul Kwon, Redskins Chris Cooley, DeAngelo Hall, Albert Haynesworth, Santana Moss and other professional athletes.

Well-covered by the press, Walk This Way was successful in bringing light the fact that one in three women are affected by domestic violence today:

• DC This Week described it as, spread[ing] the message of respect, hope and empowerment. With sponsors such as Ferrari & Maserati of Washington, Alchimie Forever, Morton’s, Sports Club LA and many others, this is one event you do not want to miss!

• The Liaison Hotel selected the “Walk This Way” fashion show as the venue to debut their new rooftop pool with the support of Club Monaco, Ferrari & Maserati of Washington, Bisnow, and many other sponsors.
• Models used a runway suspended over the pool to showcase fashion items while still managing to convey a social message: domestic violence knows no bounds.
• The Washingtonian commented, The glitterati were out in full force to fight domestic violence.
• Gary Clark of the Washington Redskins described the night as, Simply one of the best events that has ever taken place in the District.

Breth said, Though I earn my living with comedy domestic violence is no laughing matter. One in four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime. The issue impacts all women regardless of class, race, ethnicity, religion, or income. We believe everyone can collaborate to fight abuse because everyone is affected by it. Walk This Way evokes a powerful response because it brings together diverse communities of people who want to publicly rally against abuse: from fashion designers, to models, to athletes. Walk This Way breaks stereotypes and challenges people to find new ways to fight domestic violence.
