BELAPEMO OFFERS NEW SERIES OF WORKSHOPS AND TRAININGS

In order to help improve the employee’s specific skills needed, Belapemo also helps the employee help themselves.

In 2010, Laleh Alemzadeh-Hancock, President of Belapemo, LLC, was asked to submit a workshop at the 2010 National Lifespan Respite Conference. Laleh chose to pick a common challenge she hears from clients, partners, family and caregivers she meets….. How to make time to plan for our future when we spend all our time focusing on our work, caregiving responsibilities, and taking care of the many aspects of our home and family. Isn’t it time for us to think about ourselves and finding the tools to help us accomplish our goals?

Laleh created a workshop called “Me, Plan for My Future? Yes You Can!” and the workshop was selected by the Respite Conference Committee.

The workshop was a hit. Laleh received great positive feedback from the workshop attendees and she chose to share it with her clients and partners. The concept is not complex but yet it became a huge eye opener. Although companies and organizations are interested in helping their employees improve their technical and functional skills and set aside training budgets for that purpose, this workshop was a stepping stone for looking at training from an alternative view point. The feedback was consistent, “In order to help improve the employee’s specific skills needed, we have to also help the employee help themselves.”

The community workshops and trainings have multiple benefits. They allow Belapemo to share resources and tools with the community to benefit and also opening the opportunity for employees wanting personal growth but may be experiencing tight budget challenges within their work environment.
