Ben Mulroney to Host 2010 Canadian New Media Awards
Canada’s only digital media awards competition welcomes the nation’s favourite entertainment news host to 2010 gala

Toronto, ON (November 9, 2010) – The Canadian New Media Awards (CNMAs) is delighted to announce that Ben Mulroney will be hosting its 2010 awards ceremony. A veteran of the entertainment news business and the co-anchor of CTV’s etalk entertainment news program, Mulroney is thrilled to be joining the CNMAs and working to recognize the best in Canadian interactive media.

The CNMAs are the country’s only nationwide competition celebrating the accomplishments of Canada’s most successful digital media companies. Now in its 10th year, the Canadian New Media Awards are a part of nextMEDIA Toronto, Canada’s leading forum for the convergence of all forms of digital media, taking place November 29th to 30th, 2010, at the Design Exchange in Toronto. The CNMA gala ceremony will be held December 1, 2010, on the Trading Floor of the Design Exchange.

Mulroney will be the first host to announce winners from five new categories at the CNMAs this year, including: Digital Media Technology of the Year; Best Online Program, Series or Film; Community Campaign of the Year; Interactive Designer of the Year; and Digital Media Woman of the Year. A lover of movies, television and music, Mulroney’s close ties with the interactive media industry make him well suited both personally and professionally to play host for 2010.
