Benchmark Painting & Carpentry Supports the "Paint the Town" Art Show in Kensington

(Free-Press-Release.com) September 13, 2009 -- For the second year in row, Benchmark Painting & Carpentry, Inc. is proud to support the "Paint the Town" Art Show that was held at the Armory in Kensington, Maryland on Labor Day weekend.

The "Paint the Town" Art Show allows artists from all over Montgomery County, Maryland to display their original art in a variety of mediums. Awards for the best works are granted on Saturday evening during the Art Reception.

Benchmark supported the show through a monetary donation, which funded an award for one of the artists, and a donation of painting supplies, which are used by volunteers after the show to repaint part of the Armory where the paintings were displayed.

Supporting community events remains important to Benchmark throughout the year. The staff gives time and resources to several organizations, including local community groups, Rebuilding Together Montgomery County and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
