BEND COMPANY, WEBFOOT PAINTING, WILL RECEIVE NATIONAL AWARD FOR SUPPORTING ARMY RESERVE EMPLOYEE

Bend, Oregon, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) December 29, 2010 -- BEND, OR – Retired Lt. Col. of the US Air Force, Nick Norton, will award the owners of Webfoot Painting Co., a local residential painting company, The Patriot Award for supporting their Army Reserve member employee.

Ben Shelton, of Sisters, Oregon and employee of Webfoot Painting, nominated owners Gavin Hepp and Travis Ulrich just before his most recent deployment to Iraq. He was among the F Company 3/116 out of Pendleton, OR. This will be his second tour in Iraq. In a kind gesture of gratitude he nominated Webfoot Painting for supporting him through the last couple years and for working with his Army Reserve schedule. In a letter to the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), Shelton said, “Gavin and Travis have been a pleasure to work for and have supported me every step of the way in my military career and this upcoming deployment. I couldn't ask for better employers and friends.”

More often these awards are granting to larger employers and few here in Central Oregon, remarks former ESGR Chair of the region, Nick Norton. Webfoot Painting owners, Hepp and Ulrich, said of receiving this award, “We’re honored that an employee of ours would take the time to nominate us for such an award. We wish him and the rest of his company a safe tour and look forward to getting them all home soon.” The date for presenting this award has not been set.
