The Gallery Theatre in Ahoskie will host a benefit concert on Thursday, June 16, at 7:30 p.m., for Bertie County tornado victims.
The performers include: Milton Bullock (The Golden Platter), The Rocky Hock Players (The Emmerich Family), Darryl Stallings (song stylist), Steadfast (gospel music), Attila Jelinek ( smooth guitarmusic), The Chowan River Boys (country/gospel), The Gospel Impressions (gospel), The Andrews Sisters (WWII hits of the Andrews Sisters), Sue Tripp (Gallery favorite), Susan Knowles and Mary Frances Taylor (Bertie County natives)
All proceeds from the concert will aid tornado victims in Bertie County. The Bertie Chamber of Commerce will administer the funds according to its guidelines.
Event organizer Karen Knowles is soliciting support from area businesses and individuals. Sponsorships start at $100. Donors will be recognized in the concert program.
