Use Easy VHS to DVD for Mac software to record VHS tapes onto DVDs , you will need the following hardware and software:
1. Macintosh computer with a Dual Processor PowerPC G5, or Intel processor;
2. DVD recordable drive for DVD-Video creation;
3. Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.5;
4. 512MB RAM;
5. Available USB 2.0 port;
6. iMovie HD, 08, or 09.

Step 1: Install and run Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac.
After you installed Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac on your apple computer, drag the Easy VHS to DVD for Mac folder to the Applications folder on your hard disk.
In the Applications folder on your hard disk, open the Easy VHS to DVD for Mac folder and double-click the Toast Basic icon to launch the included Toast software. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up Toast for the first time.

Step 2: Start VHS player and connect to your Mac.
a. Connect the Roxio Video Capture USB device to a USB 2.0 port on your Mac.
b. Connect the Roxio adapter to the video capture device.
c. Using the video cable provided with your VHS player, connect the video Line Out connector on your VHS player to one of the two video plugs on the Roxio adapter.
d. Connect the two Audio Out connectors on your VHS player to the audio adapter (red and white plugs) attached to your Roxio USB capture device.

Step 3: Capture videos from VHS tapes to Mac.
In the Applications folder on your hard disk, open the Easy VHS to DVD for Mac folder and double-click the Easy VHS to DVD Capture icon. Select a name for your captured VHS video and select an approximate length for the movie you are capturing from VHS tapes.

Step 4: Record captured VHS videos onto DVD.
Open the Easy VHS to DVD for Mac folder and double-click the Toast Basic icon to launch the included Toast software. At the top-left of the Toast window, click "Video", then choose the DVD-Video project to do optional disc settings, such as Automatic or Custom Encoding.

Insert a blank, recordable DVD and click the "Record" button, choose a recorder from the list, then configure recording options, such as Number of Copies. Click "Record" to continue, your VHS videos will be recorded onto DVD in a short time, you can turn off the screen and do something else now, it will do the rest for you.
