The Zachary-Fitzgerald Foundation is pleased to announce that Bettie Carmack Montgomery has been selected as the 19th recipient of its prestigious NolanGetty award. NolanGetty award winners are only selected once every 5 years. This year's recipient was chosen because of her many humanitarian efforts in Bhutan.
Mrs. Montgomery provided two million dollars to schools in Bhutan and opened an orphanage in Bhutan, that is now operated by a paid Bhutanian staff, bringing money to the country and its people. Bettie Carmack Montgomery has given her heart and soul to the people of Bhutan and, therefore, the Zachary-Fitzgerald foundation is not only pleased but honored to award her with this year's NolanGetty Award. The NolanGetty Award includes a solid gold statute of an angel and a donation to the recipient's charity of choice.
Mrs. Montgomery is the wife of Grip Montgomery. The mother of 6 children, 18 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. CONGRATULATIONS to Bettie Carmack Montgomery from the Zachary-Fitzgerald Foundation!
