He will report to Vineet Taneja, Operations Director - South & Sri Lanka. This is in line with the new organization structure that Bharti Airtel recently announced for its India and South Asia operations.

Rohit Malhotra holds a degree in management from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and brings to the table over 19 years of experience. He has also served as a CEO of Bharti Airtel telemedia services. In the past, Rohit has held several prestigious positions across various reputed companies like Madura Coats, Spice Telecom, Reliance Infocomm & Pantaloon Retail. His past experience puts him in the perfect position to provide his leadership and vision to take Bharti airtel mobile services to the next level.

Effective August 1, 2011 – Bharti Airtel’s new structure is aimed at driving greater business and functional synergies, providing a common interface to customers, and creating a de-layered and more agile organization. In addition, the new structure will provide more meaningful, empowered roles and enhance employee engagement. Bharti Airtel’s transformed organization structure has two distinct Customer Business Units (CBU) with clear focus on B2C (Business to Customer) and B2B (Business to Business) segments.
