BEAVERTON, OREGON — Biamp® Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems that power the world’s most sophisticated audio/video systems, has been named a finalist in AV Magazine’s 2011 AV Awards in the category of Audio Manufacture of the Year.
The AV Awards are designed to recognize the best AV (audio visual) companies and projects around, to publicize the high-quality work that the industry does, and to promote the business benefits that the industry’s clients get from using AV technology.
Now in their 12th year, the AV Awards are considered to be the most important awards in the UK and Europe for the professional AV industry. Consisting of senior representatives from user companies and key industry players, the judging panel will look for examples of excellence that contributed towards the overall success of a project or innovation.
Building on its strong heritage of innovative AV products, Biamp Systems is a finalist based on the launch of its Vocia® critical paging and life safety system. In addition to being EN 60849 and AS 60849 system verified, Vocia received EN 54-16 certification – making it the world’s first advanced, networked paging system with EN 54-16 certification. In February 2011, Biamp introduced Vocia 1.2 incorporating additional enhancements that increased system flexibility and scalability. Biamp also received ISO9001:2008 certification in March 2011.
“Our customers around the world see important business benefits from using the best products the industry has to offer, which makes it a great honor to be named a finalist in the 2011 AV Awards,” said Steve Metzger, president of Biamp Systems. “Quality and innovation are as essential to Biamp as they are to our customers and the industry. Everyone at Biamp takes great pride in creating innovative products and delivering great service…it’s in everything we do.”
