Big 3 News host Rusty Ray marks 3 years of social broadcasting with Anniversary & Birthday Bash on Feb. 12
Rusty Ray and Big 3 News Contributors will celebrate three years of social broadcasting
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 11, 2011 --
In February 2008, a political primary battle raged between Democratic Presidential candidates Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama.
On the Republican side, party contenders like Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney and John McCain fought an uphill battle in the wake of eight years of war and unresolved domestic issues under the leadership of President Bush.
In the center of it all was Rusty Ray, providing election coverage and taking calls from viewers across America and around the world.
On February 12, 2011 at 10 PM Eastern Time, Rusty Ray will reflect on three years of broadcasting experience -- the people, the stories, the controversies -- and invite viewers to help him celebrate his 40th birthday.
"Our first live news show was on BlogTV under the brand name The Independent Reporter," Ray recalled on Friday. "I had just finished several years of grassroots political activity on the local and national level -- fighting corruption at city hall and as a volunteer for the Bush/Cheney Re-Election campaign in 2004. I was elected to local office shortly after that, but wanted to do something more with my journalism and news skills. As a result, we started an interactive news community."
The focus of the project was initially politics, but later expanded into a host of topics such as faith, relationships, technology and entertainment under the brand name Big 3 News.
"Over the past three years, we've met and interviewed a lot of interesting people online," Ray reflected. "On Feb. 12, we are going to look back on those people, the topics we've covered and some of the controversies we've witnessed."
Among the people and stories Ray has covered:
* 2008 Presidential primary election night results & national conventions
* Historic announcement by Sen. John McCain of Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin in Dayton, Ohio
* Coverage of Sens. Barack Obama & Joe Biden's campaign rally in Dublin, Ohio
* 2010 mid-term election coverage & campaign rally of Ohio Gubernatorial candidate John Kasich
* Numerous UFO eyewitness interviews & interview with John Ventre, Pennsylvania Mutual UFO Network Director
* Coverage of Artists4Life's 2nd Annual Charity event
* Privacy & computer forensics topics, interview with Vermont-based author & lecturer Frederick S. Lane
* Exclusive interviews with former Arizona Sheriff Richard Mack & California Minuteman co-founder Carl Braun
* Numerous adult protective service abuse stories
* Extensive coverage of breaking news & events around the world
During the broadcast, Big 3 News will feature original anniversary / birthday video and audio promos from our Contributors and fans.
Viewers should tune in at 10 PM Eastern Time on Sat., Feb. 12 on BlogTV (http://www.blogtv.com/people/big3news).
