Big 3 News Editor Rusty Ray appeared on Doc Thompson’s 700 WLW “The Big One” radio show this morning to discuss the website’s coverage of “Occupy Cincinnati”.
“More than 1,000 protest groups have materialized in cities across America,” Ray said on Tuesday. “Some say it’s democracy in action; others say it’s something subversive. I wanted to see first-hand who was participating and what they stood for.”
On Oct. 8, Big 3 News spent nearly five hours in Cincinnati, Ohio, walking with protesters as they marched from Lytle Park, through impoverished Over-The-Rhine, around Findlay Market and ending up at Fountain Square.
Members of “Occupy Cincinnati” claim to represent 99% of Americans and oppose corporate greed & corruption. They stand in solidarity with the national protesters, “Occupy Wall Street.”
A story with pictures and video footage about the event, along with today’s WLW radio interview, is posted at www.big3news.net.
WLW radio station is located in Kenwood, Ohio and broadcasts on 50,000 watts to over 200,000 listeners.
