Big River 8th Annual Holiday Turkey Drive

Cape Girardeau, Missouri, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) November 23, 2011 -- Big River Telephone held its 8th Annual Turkey Drive Live Events at two locations this year. One at Farmington’s Country Mart on November 12th and two at the Cape Girardeau Schnucks on November 14-15th and 19-20th. Big River worked with the Salvation Army, Withers Broadcasting and J98 “The Boot” to host these live events to promote the Turkey Drive – which aims to help feed needy families during this holiday season.

With an extra location added this year, the live events generated more donations than ever before in the eight-year history of the Holiday Turkey Drive. All the generous donations will be used by the Salvation Army to directly provide thousands of meals for families for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Employees from Big River Telephone and Big River Broadband teams stood outside at each event to explain and promote the purpose of the Turkey Drive. Big River is proud to participate in this annual fundraising event, and hopes to continue for years to come.
