Big River Attends Home and Outdoor Expo

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 1, 2012 -- Big River Broadband attended the Farmington Home Outdoor Expo on January 28th and 29th. Sponsored by The Daily Journal and B104 Radio, and hosted by the Farmington Civic Center and Farmington Chamber of Commerce, Big River’s presence was to meet with and educate the public on the Big River Broadband build-out and positive impact to the region.

At the Expo, local businesses were able to come out and promote or demonstrate their company’s product. Big River’s attendance at the Expo was used to familiarize people with how Big River Broadband will benefit the community. With the Farmington firehouse transformation into the new Big River Broadband headquarters, and the Broadband build-out is in the works, Big River employees were able to get the word out on their ongoing developments. A Kindle Fire was also presented to Julie Koderick, from Farmington, from the Big River drawling.

Not only will more jobs be coming to the region, but Big River Broadband will be able to provide broadband service to people in the homes, schools, and businesses that have had limited or no broadband. The build-out is for the seven ¬county region including Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Perry, St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve and Washington counties. “We had a great turnout and were excited to continue to educate and update everyone that came by on the positive aspects of the new broadband network. Big River Broadband will mirror the success of Big River Telephone by being local, accessible, and committed to the communities”, said Kevin Cantwell, President of Big River.
