Biggest parenting and family website launched in Tampa Bay

Tampa, Florida, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) August 25, 2010 -- The largest parent and family website for news, parenting tips, parenting videos, and much more has been launched in the Tampa Bay area. iParent Magazine offers the largest family and parenting event calendar, as well as comprehensive coverage of news and events that affect parents in every corner of the area, including Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo, Safety Harbor, Dunedin, Oldsmar, Trinity, and the rest of the region. In addition, the parenting website will feature the largest resource in the area for families with special needs children.

“Blogs from moms and dads, forum discussion groups and a special needs section set iParent Magazine apart from other websites,” said founder Tom LaPointe, a nationally-published author, experienced magazine editor, and Marine Corps veteran. “One of the biggest reasons for launching this site is to provide a major resource for Tampa Bay parents with special needs children.”

He emphasized that the area needed a website and magazine that serves families from all demographics and children of all kinds with rich multimedia content and timely information. iParent plans to launch a companion print publication within the next few months, but in the meantime, will continue to expand its website resources. Special features include a Private School Tour of Tampa Bay, a business and charity showcase section, and a calendar of family events in Tampa Bay with more than 100 items listed.

iParent will be the area’s best resource lists for parents of children with Cancer, Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsey, and other special needs, disabilities and handicaps. From Florida school IEPs to the McKay Scholarship and the Florida Medicaid Med Waiver program, the website will offer answers and resources.
