Bill Kristol To Keynote 2010 "Proud To Be An Ameican" July 4th Tea Party On Independence Mall In Philadelphia

(Free-Press-Release.com) June 25, 2010 -- The tri-state area's largest Tea Party organization, the Independence Hall Tea Party Association, has named Weekly Standard editor and Fox News contributor, Bill Kristol, as the Keynote Speaker of its "Proud To Be An American" July 4th Tea Party.

The Tea Party will be held on Independence Mall, 5th and Market Streets, July 4, from 1-4 PM.

"At this critical time in American history, we are so very honored to have Mr. Kristol speak on the pressing domestic and foreign policy issues confronting our nation," said Association President, Teri Adams. "Mr. Kristol has been analyzing these issues for decades. He brings a unique and intelligent perspective to the table."

Other notable speakers include WPHT talk show host, Dom Giordano; Americans for Prosperity president, Tim Phillips; Geno's Steaks owner, Joey Vento; Highlands, New Jersey mayor, Anna Little; Redeem the Vote national president, Pastor Bill Devlin; foreign policy expert, Ed Turzanski; American Sheepdogs founder, Rich Davis; Gathering of Eagles national director, Chris Hill; and former PA 8th Congressional candidate, James Jones.

"Our speakers will focus mainly on the issues of immigration, foreign policy, national defense and security," said Ms. Adams. "These are the hot button issues of the day.

"But this Tea Party is also a celebration of the 234th Anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence," she added. "We are recognizing the positive contributions of our founders and our military with a dramatic reading of the Declaration and a 'Salute to the Troops.'"

The Association's 2010 Benjamin Franklin Award for Courageous Journalism will be formally presented to both Dom Giordano and Mrs. Naomi Denenberg. Mrs. Denenberg will be accepting the award on behalf of her late husband, last year's July 4th keynote speaker, Herb Denenberg, who died earlier this year. Mr. Denenberg was a noted Bulletin columnist and WCAU TV - Channel 10 (Philadelphia) consumer advocate.

The event will also feature performances by the Whitehall Fife and Drum, a Colonial Costume Contest, activities for children, and information tables.

Participants are encouraged to bring picnic baskets, lawn chairs and, in lieu of signs, small flags.
