Rochester, NY (October 21, 2011) – Bio-Optronics, Inc. is pleased to announce its partnership with the French company Global Imaging Online, a leading provider of healthcare IT in radiology, and launch of the first, integrated Momentum™ Radiology Staff Scheduler and DIAM RIS™ automated scheduling solution at JFR 2011 (Journées Françaises et Francophones de Radiologie - Palais des Congrès de Paris, France), today.
Radiology workflow continues to demand enterprise solutions that drive efficiency, and help address the complexities associated with staff scheduling, patient scheduling, and optimized use of resources. This need will further grow as the healthcare market’s provider networks, reimbursement, regulations and technology evolve. The integration of Momentum™ Radiology Physician and Staff Scheduler and DIAM RIS™ is the first solution delivering an automatically generated staff schedule that is also visible in the patient scheduling screens of RIS.
The stand-alone Momentum™ Radiology Physician and Staff scheduler is an intuitive, automated staff scheduling software capable of producing equitable schedules and optimized coverage, while taking into account scheduling policies and individual preferences. When integrated with RIS, radiology practices gain not only the benefits of automated staff scheduling, reducing time spent scheduling by 75%, but also the ability to select the best patient appointment times and optimize resource use.
“Momentum™ provides sophisticated and automated scheduling features to expand the functionality of DIAM RIS. While taking scheduling policy and staff requests into account, Momentum’s unique algorithm creates comprehensive staff schedules in minutes,” states Dan Kerpelman, CEO at Bio-Optronics. “The integration of automatically generated staff assignments into the RIS patient scheduling process facilitates resource management. This leads to optimizing the workflow and efficiency of patient scheduling, and improving staff and patient satisfaction, significantly differentiating DIAM RIS.” No other RIS on the market has visibility to all staff assignments in ensuring the best patient appointments.
Global Imaging Online will be the exclusive reseller of Momentum™ in France. “Our next generation RIS-PACS web solutions allow us to fully address the needs of a private or public radiology practice, and Momentum™ is the best answer to automate resource management. It enables us to bring precious help to staff and patient appointment scheduling to radiology practices and departments,” states Patrick Pirazzoli, CEO at Global Imaging Online.
Kerpelman notes, “In Global Imaging Online we found a partner, who shares our vision of developing and commercializing e-solutions for both medical and organizational needs. We are confident that the integration of Momentum™ with DIAM RIS and other RIS systems in the future will add value to our customers’ businesses, resulting in higher staff and patient satisfaction.”
In addition to JFR, the integrated solution will also be shown at the RSNA 2011 97th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting from Nov. 22 – Dec. 2, in Chicago, Illinois.
