Bite San Diego Expands Food Walking Tour to Hillcrest

San Diego, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) January 23, 2012 -- San Diego, Calif. - (January 23, 2012) — Bite San Diego, the successful food walking tour of America’s finest city, has a new treat for foodies: the Bite San Diego – Hillcrest tour is launching January 28th. The food tasting and cultural walking tour features a guided tasting tour through San Diego’s quirky neighborhood.

With tours scheduled every Saturday and Sunday starting at 1:00 p.m., Bite San Diego – Hillcrest will take up to 15 guests on a 1.5 mile tour of six noted restaurants.

"The continued demand for these popular tours has led us Hillcrest, the hilltop mecca of dining in San Diego,” said Rebecca Bamberger, Founder of Bite San Diego. “Honestly, people on the tours were campaigning for us to get to Hillcrest. I think our locals are going to love this line-up."

For Bite San Diego’s Hillcrest tour, guests will be hosted by:

• Jimmy Carter's Mexican Cafe- Homestyle Mexican eats in the most colorful house around

• Brazen BBQ - Hillcrest's best hunks of (barbecue) meat 


• Snooze The locals never sleep in so as to nab a booth at this bubbly brunch warehouse

• Local Habit - You'll make a habit out of this spot, which uses all locally grown and organic fixings

• Empirehouse - Hillcrest's cozy public house and Best New Restaurant by San Diego City Beat

• Lotus Cafe and Juice Bar - The "Hills'" hub for a spiritual awakening of really good food

Each restaurant will offer a generous taste of a dish and/or beverage, and guests will be treated to an overview of the establishment’s highlights and cuisine. Tickets are $45 per person and booked in advance and online through Bite San Diego’s website.
