Biz Stone denied profits from developers - brothersoft

On the other hand, Biz Stone revealed Twitter was focusing on providing a consistent experience for users. He explained that developers enhanced the capacity of Twitter, and this should be a powerful growth lever for it to offer users more.

Accroding to Stone, iPhone has also been involved in Twitter client, such as Twittelator, Twitterific, TweetDeck, Echofon, Tweetcaster, La Twit, Tweetaholic, TweetList, TweetBird and TweetBoard, etc. He suggested Twitter users were maintaining continuous growth since Twitter released its official client.

Yet a report of Sysomos showed that Twitter third party applications were still widely used. For instance, Sysomos studied 25,000,000 tweets, learned 42 percent of the tweets were not from official applications.

Speaking to the BBC, Stone said, “The question for developers is to ask themselves is how they can best serve the users. By another app that pretty much does the same thing as Twitter? Or by creating new and innovative ways to get value out of Twitter that we are not necessarily doing ourselves.”

"There are going to be some growing pains but I think the most important thing we can do is communicate as best we can, even if it is bad news people don’t want to hear or we are not comfortable saying. It is important because people can get the clarity they need." he said.
