Blackest Day in Helmand Anniversary 9th/10th July - Afghan Heroes We Are The Brits
Today marks the 2nd Anniversary of the Blackest Day in Helmand Province for UK Forces when 8 British Service men died.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) July 9, 2011 --
Today 9/10th July is the anniversary of the blackest day in Helmand – 8 of our soldiers died and their mothers founded Afghan Heroes charity when they found there was little or no support for the families of the fallen or for service personnel who could be comforted from home with a helping hand when needed to make their tour of duty easier to bear.
The charity was awarded the Special Recognition award at the Millies by Prince Harry just five months after it was started and both Prince William and Prince Harry wear this charity's wristband to show their support.
To raise public awareness we have released the new video We Are The Brits to show our magnificent heritage and history whilst at the same time showing just how we got there with our British tongue-in-cheek sense of humour.
The video warms many a heart the world over not just in the UK and is being greeted everywhere with tears and laughter, making people proud to be British again.
A must-see humorous and poignant look at The Brits. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dk5uwz2FBoA
For every Brit, those with Brit heritage and those who love Brits and Britain.
Enjoy!
