What is a Twink? Urban dictionary classifies a twink in two ways. In World of Warcraft a traditional twink sits at the highest level of a battleground bracket. For example, the brackets used to be from level 10 to level 19. Blizzard recently turned around and granted helpful functions to alleviate some of the issues; yet I believe not many people noticed. In this article, I will describe what is going on and how cheap it is to create your own army of twinks. Vanilla Twink Costs Hurt in the GonadsIn order to create a twink in Vanilla or Burning Crusade it would cost on average 4, 000 - 10, 000 gold which is pretty extreme. After all that hard work and grinding who would be crazy enough to level their twink out? In Wrath of the Lich King they introduced heirlooms which reduced the cost significantly. Yet there was still the endless queue times for players with experience off. I have a solution for that too. Level 10-14! Level 15 delete character, rinse, repeat. This means you will never have to wait for experience-off queue times. How Much Time are we Talking Here to Create a Twink? How much time does it take to create a level 14? It takes me on average about 1. 5 hours to create a level 10 and stack her/him with gear and send them in to battle. Lady Sylvannis would be so proud that I am constantly spawning undead. How Much is this Crap Gonna Cost? Well lets do some math. The heirlooms available are head, shoulders, weapons, chest, both trinkets, a ring, cloak, and soon some pants. Yes, the initial start-up cost is moderate but once it is done it is endless fun. This leaves neck, ring, bracers, gloves, and boots needed. Those low level items are so cheap and so easy to get. If you have a jewel crafting friend then a ring and neck is not going to cost much. If you have an enchanter friend then you are doing great because that will chop the initial start up cost of the heirloom enchants. The initial cost maybe a 1, 000 gold for some rare heirloom enchants or significantly less than that if you have an enchanter. Once the heirlooms are purchased it is about 5 to 10 gold per each remaining item and a few runs through Rage Fire Chasm but it is generally not needed for most classes.
