(Free-Press-Release.com) August 23, 2010 --
A new website has been launched by a Missoula, Montana-based Blodgett Marketing. The website, MakeItMissoula.com, promotes Missoula and all it has to offer its residents and those considering a move to the Garden City. From places to buy to places to see, and things to know, to things to do, MakeItMissoula.com has it all.
Designed as a gateway to “all things Missoula,” the Make It Missoula website is a project of Blodgett Marketing, a Missoula-based marketing firm and publisher of community visitor and relocation guides.
Blodgett Marketing Launches MakeItMissoula.com
Welcome visit Our WebSite:
http://www.MakeItMissoula.com Publisher of the Make It Missoula printed relocation guide in 2008, owner Carol Sharkey-Blodgett says that media trends led her to consider moving the relocation guide online. “With more than 85% of people now searching for information online, an internet-based relocation resource for Missoula just seemed a logical way to go.”
Blodgett pulled together a team of internet marketing and strategy experts from Missoula to help concept, design, develop, and market the website. Several team members – Kevin Leavell, Ross Peterson, Karen Porter, Erin Stoner, and Blodgett herself, are Missoula natives. The team is rounded out by Molly Bradford, Andy Commons, Nick Gast, Sean McFarland, and Colleen Rudio, all Missoula residents.
As the team worked through concepting and planning stages, the website evolved into a more comprehensive site that would serve as an independent community resource for residents, as well as individuals and companies considering a move to the Missoula area. It is also hoped that former residents, including UM graduates, may find the site a way to reconnect with their former home.
The site’s recent launch is Phase I of MakeItMissoula.com. The site presents Missoula information through eight main information hubs including: Real Estate, Employment, Education, Health, Business, Thing to Do, Moving, and Community. Each area includes additional pages offering further information about related sub-topics. The site also features an events calendar, weather forecasts, and Missoula maps.
Blodgett’s goal for the site is to be both a resource for the community and a place to involve the community through interactivity. To be added to the site in coming weeks are Phase II elements including social media integration, a community forum, guest blogs, local shopping specials, and more.
To help celebrate the site’s official launch, MakeItMissoula.com invites anyone who loves Missoula to participate in the “You know you’re in Missoula when . . .” Contest. Entrants are invited to submit their rendition of the line, “You know you’re in Missoula when . . .” that conveys from their perspective what it is that makes Missoula the unique place it is in 25 words or less.
The contest deadline is Friday, September 3, 2010. Entries can be submitted by going to the “Win It” icon on the home page of the Make It Missoula website. Five winners will be selected by the Make It Missoula editorial team and guest judges. Winners will each receive a $50 gift certificate to The Montana Club. Winners will be announced on the Make It Missoula website and Facebook page on September 16.
