In 2012 Illusions by Vick (and for the past 4 years) gives a $100 discount on all magical entertainment programs for Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquets. Providing quality entertainment different than your typical run of the mill magic show. Illusions by Vick crafts a special magical performance providing entertainment for guests of all ages to enjoy.

When and where possible and appropriate the values of scouting are incorporated into the magical performance. One example, the original magical piece “Dinner” becomes the “Blue and Gold Dinner” and some of the values of scouting are including in the effect (don’t want to give too much away).

Illusions by Vick doesn't play down to any audience, instead the focus is on stimulating imaginations and engaging minds while entertaining. This is achieved with unique, thought provoking and amazing magic with twists of laughter and willing audience participation.

Featuring Original Illusions "Dinner", "Through the Looking Glass", "The Rites of Spring", "Floating Butterflies" & "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" as well as engaging classics of magic, amazing feats of mentalism and a few surprises. It really means something to me to be able to reach out and give a little something back to the young men who make up today’s scouting programs. To see all the young men present, their family members, both Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents, brothers (who may already be in scouting or headed into a program sometime in the future) and sisters, blended families, all the Troop Leaders, Den Leaders, Akela, the Scout Masters, the Cub Masters and any one I may have mis named and those I am forgetting, please accept my most heartfelt admiration for your most important and meaningful job well done. What you are doing for these young men, their development and the future of our great nation is one of the most important things any man or woman can do. You are one of the most important people that will help guide these Scouts to the men they will become. THANK YOU!

Illusions by Vick is a fully self contained show and we provide all our own equipment including PA System and assistants when required.

Additional Notes- Schedule and time permitting I make myself available for a brief (10 to 30 minutes) question and answer period after the show. Often due to the schedule of the banquet there isn’t time to do a question and answer session but if scheduling allows we will. This is included as part of the show, there is no extra change.

At Blue and Gold Banquets Illusions by Vick does not have any items for sale. I don’t feel it is proper to try to make additional revenue selling anything to scouts or their families at Blue and Gold Banquets. For Scouts with an interest in magic I may suggest a few effects or go over those effects and can suggest a good magic show to go to (warning, I tend to recommend books too).

Normally I suggest appearing as a traditional, well attired illusionist (classy and elegant but not stuffy or outdated) If your Blue and Gold Banquet has a special theme we can integrate elements of your theme into the performance

Illusions by Vick is also available as the following characters at no additional fee. Professor Snape (from the Harry Potter stories), the Mad Hatter, a Wizard, wondering conjurer, a Pirate, Edgar Allen Poe, early 20th century magician or Willie Wonka. Blue and Gold Banquets are some of my favorite shows every year. To help celebrate the Pack’s success and achievements of the past year and look forward to the new year is a great honor and privilege.

If you’ve read some of the Illusions by Vick's press releases, yes I am the top rated magician in the USA by the talent agency Gigmasters and CBS named Illusions by Vick as a Top 5 Magician, but when it comes to something like Blue & Gold Banquets that doesn’t mean a whole lot. Not if you compare it to the Cub Scouts, Their Special Day with their Blue & Gold Banquet, their leaders and their families having a great time and a very special outing.
