Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa, Michigan City, Indiana, will host the ultimate beer sampling event, Brewfest, on Saturday, April 9 from 1-5 pm at the Stardust Event Center.

Specialty brews from more than a dozen brands will be available to taste, including selections from Blue Moon, Sam Adams, New Holland, Goose Island, Figure 8, Backroad, Bare Hands, Upland, Southern Tier, Woodchuck, North Coast, New Belgium, Leinenkugel and Sierra Nevada.

Blue Chip will hold hourly drawings from 2 pm to 5 pm for prizes, including a Sam Adams mini fridge, Blue Moon cooler table, Sam Adams 40-quart cooler and party tent and a New Belgium Fat Tire bike. Food offerings, available for purchase at the event will include brats, hot dogs and pretzels. All of the Blue Chip restaurants will be open.

Tickets are $50 for VIP admission, $30 for regular admission and $15 for designated drivers and are available at Ticketmaster.com or at the Blue Chip Gift Box in the casino pavilion. Guests must be 21 or older, with a valid state or government-issued photo ID.

VIP ticket holders can attend a private tasting and brewmaster presentation from noon to 1 pm in the Suncoast Room and will also receive a bottle opener, pint glass, pint glass lanyard and t-shirt. Guests with a regular admission ticket will receive a pint glass. Guests with designated driver tickets will receive a pint glass, t-shirt and soft drinks, but are not allowed to sample beer.
