To celebrate water and the launch of [b]National Geographic’s[/b] "Written in Water: Messages of Hope for Earth’s Most Precious Resource", and National Geographic Magazine’s issue dedicated to water

This water celebration and book launch event will feature many profound water scientists and speakers, and will be accompanied by music; film screenings; water poetry, and activities engaging the island’s community.
The two-day event will also feature a special [green=#ff0000]“Green Fair.”[/green]
Schedule of events
May 1 and 2:
• [green=#ff0000]“Green Fair”[/green] in adjacent gymnasium area from 10 AM to 4 PM
with music and food from 11 AM to 3:30 PM
• National Geographic and water film screenings from 10 AM to 4 PM
• Featured speakers and panels from 11 AM to 3 PM
• 6 PM – 8:30 PM in Performing Arts Center: keynote speakers, film shorts, and music

May 2: 6 PM features award winning R. Carlos Nakai, who has released 35 albums and is recognized as the world's premier Native American flutist. Katie Mayhew beloved 16-year-old singer from Martha's Vineyard who won the grand prize in the first ever 'Boston Pops High School Sing Off: A Broadway Challenge'.
