“Aiyk” had his first ever public performance singing lead vocals at only 11 years old at the Ojoto Civic Center, but it wasn’t until 1996 while residing in Gambia where “Docto Aiyk” was inspired by the rich musical and cultural heritage of his home country. He then became so dedicated that he has vowed to become an ambassador of the African Coast.

Together with “The Lenscope Family” an in house music group for “Lenscope Media”, they worked on projects in remembrance of the late professor turned musician “Suny Oti”, they completed a tribute album as well as a concert in his name. “Docto Aiyk” has continued to work from charity concerts to radio/TV Jingles.

He finds influence in such artists like Wyclef Jean, Sunny Neji and Sir Osita Osadebe where he mixes his fusion style with sweet soulful sounds. He has released his album titled “Sons of Africa” which receives airplay on various TV/Radio charts nationwide.

“Docto Aiyk” has also acted in various TV soap operas for GamTV “Colors of Love”. He played a schoolteacher turned musician, where he was able to showcase his musical talents on screen. Make sure you check out all “Docto Aiyk’s” websites for updates!!!
